Philanthropy

In 2003, BillingTree founders Jim Worman, Dan Willis and John Mousheghian set out to help clients achieve maximum efficiency in the very fast paced, evolving environment of electronic payments.

Giving a Jam
As the company grew, the founders looked for ways to share their success and give back to the community.  They decided to offer employees at BillingTree a choice – they could spend money on a holiday party or use those funds to throw a fund raising event and make it the annual holiday activity. The company unanimously chose to host a concert and BillingTree RockBlock was born.  After five successful events thus far, to date the BillingTree RockBlock has raised over a Quarter Million Dollars for Charity: in 2009 with headlining acts including Chad Hollister and 2010 with Night Ranger, then in 2011 with REO Speedwagon, and being selected as the kick-off for the Season For Sharing fund raising drive and moving to CityScape to accommodate a bigger crowd, in 2013 the Gin Blossoms headlined and in 2014 the event went Western and moved to Greaswood Flats. Local partnerships with the likes of Oreganos, R-Entertainment, CityScape, Channel 12, The Arizona Republic and AZ Central have all been critical components to the success of each year’s concert. Charities supported to date include Season for Sharing, JDRF, ChildHelp, Future for Kids and The V Foundation for cancer research.

Philanthropy and Charity
Not stopping at just an annual fund raiser, the company pays for and encourages every employee to contribute 3 hours per month to various different volunteer activities ranging from food bank assistance, school activities, 10-ks and many more.   The Mantra is our core value of Give Change, and leaving our environment better then we found it, and going out of our way to help others. Each year, BillingTree employees work hundreds of hours for charitable causes during paid hours, supporting local charity events.

As always, I leave a BillingTree webinar with a couple of good takeaways. I have found that BillingTree's webinars have never been a waste of my time.

BillingTree’s integration within Comtronic’s DebtMaster delivers immediate results and my only regret is I didn’t make the switch sooner!

BillingTree provided us with technology that integrated with our existing systems, not requiring us to 'rip and replace' any infrastructure,” commented the BillingTree customer. “We have not only managed to significantly cut down on payment processing times and DSO, but now we also have a system that produces clearer, more detailed reports, increasing our visibility of operations across the entire enterprise.

Letter from the Team at ARG: I wanted to drop you a note and formally articulate our praise for the work that you and your team at BillingTree committed to the successful transition our organization made from our prior vendor. The size of our payment processing portfolio required extensive planning and preparation on your part and that translated to an exceptionally successful migration. Your tenacity, problem solving and solutions made for a remarkably smooth and relatively painless move. Most notably: the continuing work by the BillingTree customer service team: Michelle, Nena and Reuben have been fabulous to work with and their commitment to our successful outcomes make them amazing ambassadors of your organization. It feels like the right fit for us… finally a partner in our efforts rather than a vendor.
